Your guide to the redistricting process and how to get involved
The wait is over. Public hearings for the Michigan Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission are kicking off this month!

Michigan’s first redistricting commission, a group of Michigan citizens who were selected for the very important role of redrawing our legislative maps, have been hard at work setting a schedule for public hearings that will inform their work drawing fair district lines for our elections.

Starting May 11, they will be holding public meetings every week across the state to give members of the community an opportunity to voice their opinions. This is your chance to get involved in the drawing of district lines in our state, a process that was once done behind closed doors by lawyers and politicians.

You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to make your voice heard and have a say in the process!

Join Michigan LCV Education Fund for a virtual guide to the redistricting process. We’ll have information on what the commission does, who the commissioners are, and what different types of public meetings they’ll be holding. Come join us to learn everything you need to know about how you can make your voice heard in Michigan’s redistricting process!
