Building Resiliency: Federal opportunities to protect our water, act on climate and build a clean energy future
Our country is at a pivotal moment as we recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. We have an immense opportunity to build our country back to take action on climate change, upgrade our water infrastructure, and build a resilient, clean economy that works for everyone.

Michigan sits at the center of this change and has an opportunity to lead with our manufacturing know-how, our auto industry and deep connection to water.

As our country and state looks to the future, join the Michigan League of Conservation Voters, Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin (MI-8), the Michigan AFL-CIO, Huron River Watershed Council and other partners for a discussion on the opportunity to address climate change, provide clean, affordable water, and create jobs in order to build America back greener.

Join us for a conversation centered on finding solutions to impacts such as flooding, extreme temperatures, stormwater pollution, water shutoffs, and toxic contamination of our drinking water. Hear from Representative Slotkin on efforts in the U.S. Congress to continue to invest in our infrastructure, upgrade our clean water systems, and build resiliency in our energy grid. Come prepared to ask questions to local experts and leaders who know that our challenges with climate change and water issues are also a moment to community sustainability and create economic opportunity for everyone.
